“What color shouts ‘badass silver wielding human?’” Addy mused.

Sugar picked out a deadly shade of midnight black then added silver. “Black with a silver stripe should do it.” Noticing Addy’s hesitation, the girl smiled gently at the former street kid. “C’mon, I’ll get you started.”

“What’s with all the long faces?” Benji teased.

Proudly sporting a brand new prospect’s cut, our former guard sauntered into the room with a little help from his intended mate who was tucked close to his body. Though he was still healing, the boy was glowing now that he’d been officially welcomed into the Soul Reapers’ fold. Only a day in our care and the dark circles that had made his eyes hollow and blank were all-but gone.

“This is a party, right?” He pulled a few packs of cards out of his pocket and tossed them onto the nearest mattress. “Not a wake.”

“Uh, uh, uh,” Popcorn mock-growled, pointing a stern finger at Benji and swinging it over to direct his attention to Sugar. “Got any badges left, Sugar?”

Sugarrush grinned evilly. “Sure do.”

She pranced over to Benji’s side, sending a sweet smile at Talia who had burrowed into her mate’s chest, and pinned the badge in place. The prospect looked down and his smile turned into a look of horror. “Honorary pussy? You gotta be shitting me!”

Popcorn tapped her foot and blew her gum.

Benji wilted, “Fine, fine. But none of the brothers can hear about this, right? I’ll be hazed for weeks.”

“Sure.” Popcorn waved his concern away and handed him a shot. “Glad to have you with us. Took you long enough to sort your shit out, kid.”

Sending me a conspiratorial wink, Strawberry snuck a quick snap with her phone while the prospect was distracted earning a fist bump from Addy. I mimed for her to text it to me and she nodded.

“Yeah, yeah,” Benji grumbled but he downed his shot as he took in the state of the humans with a protective eye. “Bulletproof said I’m to be your guard once Doc clears me for duty. That alright with you folks?”

“Benji.” Strawberry kissed his cheek in greeting and handed Talia a cup with juice in it. She might have been old enough to drink but the poor girl was still twitchy as hell. I liked that my friends knew how to read a room and let people be where they were at. “How's your room? We tried to get some of your old things.”

“Thanks, Berry.” He leaned into Addy’s sister and rubbed his face in her hair. “We’re doing well. Talia agreed to be my mate today. And Bullet gave us the go-ahead on that, too. Or at least, he said I could mate when I could get back to work and not a lick earlier. So, yeah.” He ran a hand through his hair like the wait was killing him and adjusted himself as discreetly as he could. “As soon as Doc gives me a clean bill of health, we’re good to go.”

Everyone giggled at that. Talia blushed but looked pleased with the idea as she dropped a swift kiss on his bicep.

“They’re fucking like beasts,” Addy whispered loudly to Strawberry, knowing damn well the whole group would be able to hear. “Big tough biker dude is treating my sister like a queen. If you know what I mean.”

The room erupted into another round of chortles while Talia scowled at her sister.

Benji glowed with happiness. “Speaking of mates,” he winked at me. “Looks like Silver has picked up two.”

“Yup. Sasha’s dance card is filling up fast.” Viola drained her glass and waggled it for a top up. Strawberry replaced it quickly. I was fairly certain that was her third. The woman looked as relaxed as I’d ever seen her. It made my wolf’s tongue loll out in happiness to see the humans feeling safe on Soul Reapers’ soil. “Sasha?”

My stomach tipped uneasily for a moment but I pushed it away. If I was going to lecture my mate on living life to the fullest after surviving a shitty hand, then I had to do the same. Maybe the girls had been right and Grimm really was sorry. No point in worrying about it now, though.

Sasha was mine. She’d claimed me and neither one of us was taking it back.

“Um, Silver’s dance card is the one that’s filling up. He has Mongrel to contend with, too.”

Sasha gave me a playful smirk, the alcohol helping out with the foot massage I was laying on her now that I’d finished her nails. I was being extra careful not to mess up the fine paint job, too. She wriggled her feet in delight, urging me to continue.

“Three-way matings are common enough, Vi,” Popcorn piped up, then shot a smirk at Sasha. “Sometimes more, if you’re extra lucky.”

“Maybe here at Soul Reapers MC,” Strawberry snickered and flopped down on the mattress next to Addy. “Before I came here, I’d never seen one. Not that I’m complaining. I enjoy a good workout as much as anyone.”

“You’re human,” I pointed out.

“You saying humans aren't polyamorous?” The redhead winked at Popcorn, who just rolled her eyes.

“Men taking two girls back to their room at night, even in a nice suburban neighborhood, don’t make them poly, Berry.” Popcorn sat down more elegantly, her ankles crossed so she didn’t flash the room in her skirt. The sweetbutts might be dressing more conservatively for our guests but they still had to pick from their existing wardrobes. Most of the girls usually strutted around in crop tops and hotpants or short minis. And high-as-fuck stripper heels. To be fair, a good number of them had been strippers—by their own choice—or a few had been rescued. “Just makes them horny.”

“Whatever. What I meant was, in the Soul Reapers MC, we got plenty of examples of healthy threesomes.” Strawberry just shrugged her shoulders and tipped her drink to her red lips. “Though sadly, once the Goddess takes hold, those sexy groupings tend to be exclusive. BP and his boys sure do make a pretty party.”
