“I’m Popcorn. I run the club girls and keep the wilder sweetbutts in line. This here is Sugarrush. She’s the arty type,” Popcorn smirked. Sugar flipped her the bird and carried on pinning the last badge to Robbie’s chest. He flushed as she patted his cheek. “Chocolatedip sends her apologies. She’s a little busy right now. Strawberry and Lickitysplit are over there, setting up the bar for the night. They are gonna make sure the liquor flows while we get down to business.”

Sasha raised an eyebrow. “And what business would that be?”

Popcorn grinned mischievously. “Why, I am going to ply you with alcohol, make you pinky swear to be my friend, plough y’all for secrets about what skills you got for Grimm, and give you a makeover.”

“Sounds like you have a busy night ahead of you,” Viola drawled.

“Yup.”

My BFF popped her gum and accepted a shot glass from the tray the girls were whisking around. Popcorn sounded completely unfazed by the task before her, drawing a tired smile from my mate. Sasha and Viola shared a look and followed suit, holding their drinks up in the air for a toast.

“What are we drinking to?” Addy asked, sneaking a sip of the drink in her hand before she passed it over to Talia. Strawberry handed the girl a non-alcoholic soda.

“To shitheads put in the ground. To fierce angels and sexy demons who ride bikes that purr between our legs. And to the Blood Moon Goddess who hands them their asses everytime the Chaos rolls around.”

“That’d be about right,” Viola grinned.

“To shitheads, angels and demons,” we echoed and took a long drink.

The alcohol soothed the sting still itching across my skin from the public shakedown.

After collecting the shot glasses, Strawberry brought over a bowl full of various shades of nail polish, some mani-pedi clippers and nail files. “Take your pick.”

Sasha grabbed a pale skin tone with a slight sheen to it and passed the bowl on before she scooted a little closer to me and nuzzled into my neck. Her comforting scent had my pacing wolf flop over in a contented heap at her feet with a sigh of relief.

“Okay, so girls’ night. Who's in?”

I caught the eye of each of the captives to check that they were still with us. Addy picked at her cuticles, and Viola tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear. The long brown tresses were still limp and lacking the shine I knew they would possess once she’d had a few good weeks of three square meals a day and plenty of sleep.

“I hate to point this out,” Sasha murmured as she rubbed my stubble across her head, unconsciously getting my scent all over her. “You don't have the necessary qualifications to attend a girls’ night.”

“He’s an honorary girl. Says so on Sugar’s badge. Just ask any of the girls.” Strawberry smirked, putting the tray down on its hidden legs and pushing a bright red curl off her forehead. “Well, not Narcissa or her lot. They don’t count.”

“As people?” Addy growled.

“No. Because they are skanks. Long and short of it, wildcat, is don’t find yourself alone in the locker room with them.” Popcorn shrugged. “Doodle’s having a bit of a problem in the girls’ dorm. Narcissa is acting out because Grimm gave her a verbal spanking. We’re working on it.”

Viola shifted, not liking the news, but Addy beat her to it, waggling her knife in the air. “I’m not an easy drop.”

“No, bet you ain’t. Still don’t want you to have to deal with a riled up bitch gripped by the Chaos.”

“Fuck,” I growled, bouncing to my feet and stalking toward the door but was stopped by a hand on my arm.

“It’s taken care of. I sent Bulletproof over,” Popcorn said against my ear. “Sit down with your new mate, sweetheart. She needs you. I think you need her, too.”

“I don’t like hearing that she’s stirring up shit again.”

We were a pack. While most of the sweetbutts weren’t offical members, they were still under our protection. Those who lived in the girls’ dorm were with the club permanently and it was my job to keep an eye out for them.

“Fucking prima donna. Just ‘cause she’ll fuck any brother that moves she thinks she’s owed something. Respect is earned round here. Not demanded.”

“She’s been after Doodle for a while.” Viola scoffed at that, earning a raised brow from Sasha and my BFF. She cut off the noise but her frown of concern remained. Popcorn shrugged, handing a bottle of vodka over to where Strawberry was mixing a batch of fruit punch. “Plus, she wants Ranger as her own.”

“Doesn’t work that way.” I rolled my eyes as I settled back down next to Sasha, tucking her down under my arm. “The Blood Moon Goddess chooses.”

“Yeah. Well, Narcissa don’t see it that way. She’s been working him hard for a while. Laying down the foundation. But Ranger hasn’t looked at her twice since he caught a whiff of Doodle the other night.”

“Yeah. And she is pissed,” Strawberry giggled as she handed me a tall glass of sugary alcohol. “The Chaos rewards those of us who deserve it.” She clinked her glass with mine and then Sasha’s. “May the Blood Moon Goddess bless your bond for many years to come.”
