“I’m starving,” she said. “What are you making?”

“Eggs and toast,” he said. “I don’t have much more. I didn’t think you’d be here this morning.”

She got a frown on her face and he regretted saying that. “You could have brought me back last night, but you said you wanted me to spend the night.”

“Sorry. I meant I didn’t think we’d be back in this position again yesterday or I would have planned better. Now I’ll know and be prepared.”

“You can stay with me if you want. Daisy wouldn’t care. I just have to give her a heads up.”

He wasn’t sure how he felt about that. “If you’re more comfortable there that is fine,” he said. “You just should be a little bit quieter than you are here.”

Her face flushed as she came to pull the stool out and sat. “I didn’t think of that. I just didn’t want you to think you couldn’t stay with me. Daisy hasn’t had anyone over either. We have this arrangement, but neither of us has used it. I think she didn’t want me to think she had a problem with it. She doesn’t. As you know, we’ve got our own bathrooms.”

“Let’s just play it by ear,” he said. “If you’re fine coming here, I’m good with it.”

“I am,” she said. “I really am. I just didn’t want you to think I didn’t want you at my place. That isn’t true.”

“Since we’ve had dinner there before, I know it’s not,” he said.

He got her a cup of coffee and fixed it the way she liked it and set it down. “Thanks,” she said. The toast popped. “Bring it over here and I’ll butter it.”

He pulled the four pieces out of the toaster and put them on a plate to put in front of her with the butter while he was stirring the eggs in the pan.

When they were done he dumped some on her plate and the rest on his when she held her hand up. “I can make more,” he said.

“There are like half a dozen in there,” she said. “I barely eat two pieces of toast let alone two eggs in the morning.”

“You said you were starving,” he reminded her.

“Maybe I meant for something other than food.”

He felt the heat rush to his dick. He was glad he had the energy to give her what she wanted. Or maybe it was because she’d gone so long without it.

“Are you always this needy?”

She started to cough on her bite of food. “What do you mean by needy?”

“Sorry,” he said. “I mean sexually. It’s a good thing. I just need to know how many vitamins I’ve got to start taking.”

She started to laugh. “No,” she said. “At least I don’t think so. I’ve never been this way before. I want to say it’s just you.”

“I like that it’s me. Maybe now we can get into a better routine. Or a more consistent one.”

“Now that you’re not waiting, afraid you’ll hurt me, there shouldn’t be a reason we can’t,” she said, shoveling her food in more. “We’ve been seeing each other two to three times a week as it is for the past few weeks. So yeah, sounds good to me.”

“You’re almost too good to be true,” he said.

“Nah,” she said. “Or no one else has ever thought that of me.”

He wasn’t going to reply to her statement. “Do you need to get home right away? Anything you want to do today?”

“I’d like to take a shower, but I don’t think I can do it here. I mean I guess I could just stand on one foot. Or you can get in with me and hold me up, but your bathroom is pretty small.”

He hadn’t thought of that. “I don’t have a chair for you to sit on either.”

“I’m getting close to trying to stand to do it,” she said. “I just don’t want to accidentally lose my balance and put too much pressure on it.”

“As you shouldn’t,” he said. “Listen to your doctor. He obviously knows what he’s talking about. But I’ll take you home to shower and change when you’re done eating and then we can figure out the day or you can just relax and I’ll come back.”
