I inched toward him. “Sammy?”
Sam groaned. “Don’t, Poppy.”
I rounded the island and eased my arms around his waist. I trailed kisses up his chest and throat until I nipped his chin and pressed my chest into his. “Sammy, talk to me.”
He looked at Jude and Cyrus. “A little help?”
I ran my tongue down his throat and sucked just under his Adam’s apple. Moving my hand around to the button of his jeans, I smiled as I felt him swallow. Flicking open the button, I slowly lowered his zipper. “How did you find me tonight?”
He swore as I pushed my hand inside his jeans and wrapped it around his length. Lowering his eyes to mine, Sam shuddered as I stroked him. “We came to check on you because you didn’t text me. We were a little tipsy so we had Charlie drive us. Then we saw you leaving the restaurant and we followed you because you looked like you were up to no good.”
I went to move away and squeaked when Sam grabbed my hips and lifted me onto the counter. I fell back on my elbows when he gripped my jeans and dragged them down my hips, taking my panties with them. “And what if I’m angry about your little stalking game?”
Sam pulled my thighs over his shoulders. “Allow me to apologize.”

“Ofcourseyouwenthome and had hot sex for hours. Of course you did. Do you know what I did?” Sara scowled and slumped in her desk chair. “I was lectured the entire drive home and then when I tried to apologize, Charlie told me to stay far away from him and his dick.”
I winced. “I’m so sorry, Sara. Should I call him and tell him to allow you near his dick?”
She made a face that said she was considering her options. “I mean…could you?”
I gagged at her. “God, Sara. I didn’t even want to make that joke. You do not want to be near Charlie. He’s a pain.”
She leveled a look at me. “Poppy. I’m sorry to have to let you in on this little tidbit, but your brother is hot. Not just a little hot, but like…super hot. That comes with a certain level of pain that I’m good with. Plus, when I squeezed his dick, I liked what I felt.”
I grabbed my phone and started dialing. “I’m calling the police. What you just said to me should be considered an assault.”
Sara laughed and pulled my phone away. “I just need to ask this, on the off chance that I run into Charlie someday and he stops hating me…”
I grabbed her hand and squeezed. “Sara, I’m not going to tell you who you can or can’t date. If you wanted to go for Charlie, I’m not getting in your way. The amount of shit you wouldn’t be able to tell me is exponential, though.”
She shrugged. “It’ll never happen anyway. Charlie is…Charlie. He saw me at my worst and I physically assaulted him. Plus, I’m his kid sister’s best friend.”
Studying her, I tapped my chin. “How long have you had a thing for Charlie?”
She groaned and let her head thump onto her desk. “I don’t want to talk about it, Poppy. I’m a giant loser.”
“You are not. You have terrible taste in men, though.” I smiled. “I think we’re all going to meet and play basketball this weekend. Charlie was invited for some reason. Do you want to come?”
“You know I hate basketball.” She rolled her lips between her teeth. “But I guess I could come and watch?”
I didn’t bother mentioning that if she showed up, she’d be peer-pressured into playing. I was just excited that she’d be there. “What do you think I should do for Jude’s birthday this year? It’s coming up soon.”
“You’re cute.”
I frowned. “What are you talking about?”
Sara looked up as another pair of teachers walked by her open doorway and waved. “I’m talking about the fact that you’re already thinking of Jude’s birthday. You’re smitten.”
An uncomfortable feeling washed over me. “I always make a big deal out of their birthdays.”
“Poppy, you’ve been sleeping with them for weeks now. You guys are always together. They’re clearly obsessed with you. And…” She shrugged. “And you clearly love them.”
I held up my hands and scooted away from her desk. “Sara, what are you talking about? We were just talking about you wanting my brother.”
