“I’m slightly concerned we’ve created a monster. In all the years we’ve known you, you’ve never once wanted a foot rub.” He gestured at Sam and Cy. “Is this the future?”

“Sam started it.” I tried to pull my feet away, but neither of them would let go. “See. They’re just doing it for themselves now. Purely selfish.”

Cyrus playfully slapped the bottom of my foot. “Monster.”

I relaxed into Jude while they continued rubbing my feet. It was nice to be closer to them, to be able to touch them. “I think I missed touching you guys.”

Cyrus looked up at me. “When?”

“After puberty and until now?” I smiled and shrugged, but there was truth to what I was saying. “After that night in the clubhouse when we were thirteen, we had the unofficial rules. One of them seemed to be that we never touched anymore. I’ve missed being closer to you. But if you ever tell anyone I said that, I’ll pretend like I don’t even know you.”

Sam went still as he met my eyes. “I’ve missed you too.”

At the threat of things turning emotional, I waved my hands to clear it all away and forced myself to think of anything different. My brain seemed to be in the mood for awkwardness, though, because what I said wasn’t great. “You know…before that kiss with you three, I’d only ever slept with one guy. Whoever I sleep with next is going to be getting a lot more experience than you guys got.”

When silence was my only answer I lifted my head and looked around. Every one of them looked pissed off and all foot rubs had ceased. My stomach dropped and I rambled on to try and make it better.

“I mean, whenever it happens. You know? I’m not rushing. I can barely move as it is. It’s not like I’m going out tomorrow in the hopes of getting laid. We’ve got the fake date to the wedding first and if I slept with someone else before that, they might be offended when I didn’t take them to the wedding. If they’d even want to go. It’d be pretty fast to invite a new man to the wedding, I feel like. Not that I have a lot of experience with that. The only relationship I’ve ever had, the guy showed up a day late to the only wedding I ever invited him to and told me it was because he was worried I was misinterpreting his intentions with me. Oh my god. Why am I still talking?”

Jude’s arm had tightened around me. “Maybe just stop talking for now.”

I nodded. “Yep. That sounds like a great idea. Forget that I ever said a word. Forget that I even know how to speak. Heaven help me, I can’t stop it.”

Jude’s hand coming to rest over my mouth was the only thing that made me shut up. He pressed his mouth against my ear and grunted. “No more talking about sleeping with other men, Poppy.”

I nodded again and sank into his heat. No more talking was a great idea.

Cyrus’s eyes were dark as he looked at me. “If I didn’t think Jude and Sam would cry for you, I’d feel really inclined to spank you for that.”

Sam shrugged. “I’m open to the idea.”

Jude laughed when I pressed myself harder into him. “Don’t worry, Poppy. I’ve got you.”

I relaxed into him and then let out a wild laugh when Cyrus dragged me away by the leg. “Judy!”

Jude’s face was upside-down as he grinned down at me. “On second thought, maybe a spanking would help.”

I’d never wrestled naked with my best friends before, but by the time we finished, I was a big fan. I also had a bite mark on my ass that I was going to find a way to repay Cyrus for.

***Poppy***

Igrabbedahandfulof popcorn and shoved it in my mouth while glaring at the TV. “Honestly? Am I supposed to believe that he’s not dead? They shot him like ten times!”

Sam kicked his feet up on my coffee table and pulled me into his lap. “Just watch the movie, Poppy.”

I got comfortable on him and pulled my blanket over my legs. “I just don’t know why you picked this movie.”

He rested his hand on my stomach and stroked it back and forth. “Because I wanted to watch it and you told me to pick what I wanted?”

The bad guy on TV jumped out in front of someone and the typical horror movie music screeched through my living room loud enough to make me scream. I pulled the blanket over my head and curled up in Sam’s lap. “I’m done! I don’t want to watch anymore. Go on without me!”

Sam’s chest shook as he laughed. “You’ve never been this scared of horror movies before. What’s happening with you?”

After I heard him pause the movie, I lifted my head out from under my blanket and looked at him. “I’ve always been this scared of horror movies. I just never wanted you or the guys to laugh at me about it. Now that you’ve been inside me, though, I don’t feel so embarrassed about this kind of stuff.”

He tilted his head and stared at me questioningly. “Are you serious?”
