“There it is.” I smiled.

“Wow.” Shaun teared up, as did Jenni.

I furrowed my brows.

“Georgia, what’s wrong?” Jenni asked.

“I need you to lie very still and be quiet. I don’t want you to get upset, or all wound up.”

“About what?” Shaun asked.

“What is wrong, Georgia?” Jenni demanded.

“I promise you nothing is wrong. Nothing at all. I need to do an ultrasound. I have to check something.”

“Oh my, God! Something’s wrong with the baby.” Tears fell from Jenni’s eyes.

“Nothing is wrong, Jenni. Trust me.”

“Then why do you have to do an ultrasound?” Shaun asked with worry.

“You’ll see.”

My nurse brought in the portable ultrasound and turned off the lights. Placing the transducer on Jenni’s belly, a wide grin crossed my face.

“There they are.” I looked at Jenni and Shaun.

“They?” Jenni’s eyes widened.

“Excuse me?” Shaun cocked his head.

“You two are having twins.”

“Impossible. You told us we were having one,” Shaun said.

“Apparently, Baby B was hiding.” The corners of my mouth curved upward.

“You’re sure?” Jenni frowned.

“Baby A, I pointed, and Baby B. Congratulations! What’s wrong?” I asked as I stared at them.

“We’re in shock,” Shaun said.

“Yeah. Total shock.” Jenni bit her bottom lip. “I wondered why my clothes were starting to get a little tight already.”

“Are you going to announce it tomorrow at the gender reveal party?” I asked.

“No. We’ll announce it tonight when we all get together. I don’t want to take away from Sofia and Nathan,” Jenni said. “Shit. Twins.” She looked up at Shaun.

“If Sam and Julia can do it, so can we, babe.” He leaned over and kissed her lips.

“You’re doing a c-section,” Jenni said. “I am not pushing out two babies.”

I laughed. “Okay. We can schedule a c-section when it gets closer to your due date.”

I was exhausted when I got home from all my running around after leaving the medical center.

“There you are.” Jackson smiled when I stepped through the front door.
