“Mr. Russo said it was available.” I kissed her lips.

“Great. Now that we’ve checked that off the list, we can talk about where we want to take pictures after. We’ll have plenty of time since the ceremony is at three o’clock.” She grinned.

Shit.

“The ceremony is at five.”

She took a step back and cocked her head. “What do you mean? The other weddings were always at three o’clock. What time is the reception?”

“The Crystal Garden wasn’t available until five p.m., and the reception starts at six.”

“Jackson, that’s not going to work.”

“Why?” I furrowed my brows.

“Because we have to do pictures after, and that takes forever. Oh my God. Why didn’t you clear it with me first?” She placed her hand on her forehead.

“You said you wanted to get married there, so I made it happen, Georgia.”

“Yeah. I do want to get married there but at three o’clock. That way, we’ll have plenty of time for pictures.”

“Well, they didn’t have three o’clock available. We’ll have plenty of time, babe.”

“No, we won’t!” Her voice raised. “If the ceremony lasts thirty minutes, we’ll only have thirty minutes for pictures, and that’s not enough time.”

“How many pictures do we need?” I held my arms out.

“Seriously?” She placed her hands on her hips.

I put my hand up. “I’ll cancel the Gardens. We can still have the reception there, but we’ll get married elsewhere.”

“No. I want to get married there! God. Why did you have to go and do that without discussing it with me?”

“You asked me to!” I shouted.

“I asked you to call and find out! Not book it!”

I inhaled a sharp breath and bit my tongue.

“I will call and cancel. I’m sorry,” I calmly spoke.

Suddenly, tears began falling down her face.

“Baby, don’t.”

“I’m fucking crazy, Jackson. I have no idea how you still want to be with me.”

“No, you’re not.” I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her into me. “You need to give the medication time to kick in. You’ve only been taking it for a couple of days. And for the record.” I held her tightly against me. “You’re my queen, and I’m not going anywhere, ever.

“I hate this.” She broke our embrace.

I cupped her face and wiped away her tears. “I know you do, sweetheart. Just give the medication time to work. Isn’t that what you tell your patients?” I smiled.

“It’s easy for us to say that shit to someone else.” She breathed out a laugh.

“It sure is. I have a patient coming in.” I kissed her forehead. “We’ll talk more about the wedding later. I love you.”

“I love you too, Jackson.”
