I snap my gaze to him, my hand already reaching for a knife, as I growl, “I will fucking kill you.”

Jace, who has apparently finished well before us, snatches up his sniper rifle and levels it at me. Before my hand has even closed around the hilt of a knife, a red dot appears on my chest as Jace holds the weapon steady.

He grins at me. “As always, you’re welcome to try.”

From across the table, Eli chuckles and gives Jace an approving nod. I shoot our older brother a dark look.

A bang sounds behind me as Rico slams something down on the counter hard enough to make the dark wooden cabinets rattle.

“What the fuck did I just say?” he snaps at us.

Behind the rifle, Jace flashes him a sheepish smile. “Sorry, Mom.”

Rico stares Jace down until he lowers his weapon. While Rico is busy muttering curses under his breath, I shoot Jace a look that promises vengeance. He just grins wider, challenge dancing in his eyes like golden sparkles.

“You’re sleeping with the enemy?”

My gaze snaps back to Eli, who is staring at me from across the table. Ah, crap.

“No,” I retort. “I’m tormenting her.”

Eli arches an eyebrow. “Then how did you watch her come?”

“I tied her up and put a crotch rope on her and then told her to crawl.”

For a few seconds, Eli only blinks at me. Then a smirk curves his mouth. “Fuck, that’s hot. I might do that to Raina when I get home.”

Smug satisfaction ripples through me. But all I say is, “Yeah. So like I said, I’m not fucking her.”

“Yet,” Jace says.

Slamming the sniper rifle down on the kitchen table, I yank out a throwing knife and spin towards him. “I swear, one more fucking word out of your mouth and I will put a knife through your eyeball.”

With that need for chaos burning in his eyes, he opens his mouth.

However, before he can say anything, Rico speaks up. “If you say one more thing to piss him off, I won’t make you that pasta dish.”

Jace flicks a glance towards him. Apparently, Rico must have a dead serious expression on his face, because Jace groans in annoyance and then closes his mouth again.

From across the table, Eli sets his sniper rifle down as well before meeting my gaze. “Look, am I happy that you’re fucking a Petrov? No.”

“I told you, I’m not fucking her,” I bite out, but Eli just keeps talking as if I hadn’t interrupted.

“But am I going to give you shit about it? No.” He chuckles and shakes his head. “I was fucking Raina last year and she poisoned me and blew up my car.”

Chopping sounds come from the cutting board by the kitchen island as Rico adds, “Yeah, and don’t look at me. I fucked Isabella just last night and tomorrow I’m going to put a gun to her head.”

“So we’re the last people who should be lecturing you on sleeping with the enemy,” Eli picks up with a casual shrug. “You want my advice?”

I hate asking people for help, so I don’t manage an answer. But Eli knows me well enough to understand that I want to hear his advice even if I’m too proud to admit it, so he just keeps speaking as if it was a rhetorical question.

“Take what you want.” There is a ruthless glint in his eyes as he holds my gaze. “You’re a Hunter. We don’t wait for things to come to us. We do whatever the hell we want and decimate anyone standing in our way.”

A slow smile spreads across my lips. Fuck, I have missed Eli. Rico and Jace are dangerous in their own right, but Eli is in a league of his own when it comes to being brutal and merciless.

With that wicked smile still on my lips, I give our unhinged older brother a slow nod.

Do whatever the hell I want and decimate anyone standing in my way.
