There was only one thing left to do—one final commitment to honor the Goddess who brought us together.

“Brielle, will you accept our claim in the ways of old? Will you willingly bind yourself to us before our Goddess?”

It was almost unheard of nowadays. Traditional mating ceremonies were our way of accepting the Goddess’s plan and asking for her blessing when connecting our souls. There was no point if there wasn’t a fated bond.

But we were different. We were made for each other.

In my heart, I knew this was right.

Her eyes flooded with tears as she looked at us—her mates. “I will.”

Chapter 33

Brielle

One month later

As I stood on a beautifully adorned platform in front of the pack, I wondered if I was dreaming. The smell of violets drifted through the air, and the full moon bathed the clearing in an ethereal glow. Anticipation and joy rolled over the field, ensnaring all who were present.

This was Hidden Creek’s first traditional mating ceremony in decades. The Alpha unit hadn’t felt the need for a mating ceremony. They were content with knowing they belonged to one another. I wasn’t shocked. From what I’d heard about the Alpha unit, they bucked tradition whenever possible.

Blythe stood at my side, her presence a comforting anchor. Ezra, Valor, and Korren—the men who had unexpectedly become the center of my world—smiled from across the platform, their eyes holding promises of forever.

Alpha Wynn began the ceremony with the words of our ancestors.

Ryr hlak it'hry. The pack is all.

“Mother of the wild and night, your children call to you,” Wynn said, his voice carrying through the clearing. “We leave ourselves to your judgment, live for your will, and ask for your mercy. This unit stands before you, beneath the brilliance of your light, to swear their fidelity to the mate you have destined. We ask that you hear their vow.”

“Hear their vow,” the pack murmured.

As one, my mates spoke. “We offer you our voice, our mind, and our safety. We swear to love and adore you above all others. We recognize you as part of us, granting you our protection for as long as you shall have it.”

The ancient vow felt vitally important, like day and night.

“I offer you my ear, my soul, and my heart,” I said. “I swear to love and adore you above all others. I recognize you as part of me, granting you a home for as long as you shall have it.”

I was their home, and they were mine.

My mind wandered to the life growing inside me—tangible proof that our unit’s love and connection had flourished in unexpected circumstances. Our child was a symbol of our unbreakable bond, a miracle I had never dared to dream of. Thinking of our life together—of the love that would continue to grow and evolve between us—filled me with a sense of peace.

Under the watchful eye of the moon, surrounded by the warmth of our pack, I realized I had everything I could ever want. The journey that brought me to this point had been fraught with challenges and uncertainties, but standing with Ezra, Valor, and Korren, I knew every step had been worth it.

“With the blessing of our Goddess, may this mating bring prosperity to the pack,” Wynn finished.

My mates gathered around me as the ceremony came to a close, and the pack erupted with cheers and congratulations.

“Ready to party, sweetling?” Valor asked, holding out his hand as Korren cupped my abdomen lovingly.

I looked at Ezra and said, “Only if you promise to save me a dance.”

His voice was like warm honey. “You can have them all.”

In the arms of my mates, with the promise of tomorrow shining in their eyes, I knew that no matter what challenges we might face, we would face them together. I’d finally found the kind of strength and love that would endure through even the darkest night.

The end.
