Chiefy whined and followed her to the car without a leash on. She knew Grace was going somewhere and no way was she going to be left behind. Grace opened the back door and Chiefy jumped right in. Sid came over to the car with a grin on his face. Sweat dripped down his temples and his shirt was wet under his arms and his back was drenched. He leaned in gently and kissed her lips, then grinned. "I'll see you up there in a few minutes."

"Sounds good. I'll get to unpacking things so we can shower and get ready to be at the Sandbar by seven."

"Perfect. I'm going to need a shower."

She laughed. "Yeah, me too. But we won't have to deal with those guys watching the house tonight."

"Which reminds me, we have security."

"You mean Chiefy?"

He chuckled. "Well, she's our first line of security. Our second line is the cameras installed along the driveway and all around the house."

"Really? I didn't know that."

"Jace told me this morning. He gave me the codes." He pulled a sheet of paper from his wallet. "I'll need those back."

She laughed. "Here, let's do this." She pulled her phone out and took a picture of the codes. "Do I need to do anything when I go up there?"

"No, they're turned off right now. But, I'll show you where everything is when I get up there."

"Okay." She stood on her toes and kissed his lips. "See you in a few minutes."

"Count on it."

Grace jumped in her car and started it up. The humidity was high today. She'd been sweating all morning as the door to the bungalow had been opened and closed over and over again. Plus all the packing.

She pulled onto Sunset Beach Road, and stayed left at the fork to their new private driveway/road, named Bluff Road. Just like most of the other places and roads here in Blossom Springs. She grinned as she turned up Bluff Road. The sound of a motorcycle behind her had Chiefy growling low. Glancing in her rearview mirror, she saw the biker follow her. After she turned onto Bluff Road, she watched to see if the biker would follow her. There was a sign at the bottom of the road that proudly boasted 'private property'. And still another one that read, "security cameras in use."

She hadn't noticed that before, but she was glad for it now. The biker stopped and she and Chiefy continued up to their new home. The only thing that made her stomach twist, was that her little bungalows didn't have security on them. They would be there like sitting ducks. Hopefully their party at the Sandbar tonight would get them the signatures they needed to ask the council to take action.

To date, the bikers had damaged several businesses, continued to harass or stalk Sid, her, and she'd also heard they were doing the same thing to the gas station owner, Bodie. But, to everyone's credit, people weren't exactly caving to the pressure. They carried on with their business and repaired the damage. In one instance the same insurance company was involved for two separate businesses. There was talk that the insurance company might start looking into the bikers. But in actuality, they'd likely not do anything.

At the top of Bluff Road, Grace pulled to a stop in the space she'd been parking in since they'd begun to move things into the house. Chiefy whined in excited anticipation and Grace chuckled. "I'll hurry."

She opened Chiefy's door and her pup ran to her favorite spot to pee, then to the front door as Grace grabbed her supplies and carried them to the house.

Using the key Sid had given her, she unlocked the door and pushed it open with her butt as Chiefy burst through and excitedly ran to her spot in the kitchen where one of her beds laid. Yes, she had three beds in this house. She was a spoiled girl.

Sid saw the biker follow Grace to the new house and his blood began to boil. He and Quinn loaded the bed frame and a few of the totes that didn't fit in Grace's car into the trucks and took off toward the house. As soon as he reached Bluff Road, the biker was sitting across from the driveway, but on his cellphone. Sid wanted to lift his middle finger so damned bad. He'd settle for watching these assholes drive out of town. That would have to be enough.

He did make sure though, that the biker saw him staring at him. Yes, he and Grace knew they were watching, but it wouldn't stop them.

Taking a deep breath, he once again marveled at the drive up the bluff. It bent and turned on the way up and was as pretty as a picture. Never did he dream he'd live in a place like this.

Life was sure funny.

Grace stepped out of the front door and waved as she strode to her car and grabbed another tote. Her face glowed in the way women glow when they perspire. She had a dewy glow about her and she looked stunning in her khaki shorts and white tank top. She had her dark hair pulled back in a ponytail and it swished back and forth as she walked.

He pulled to a stop and pulled another tote from her car and followed her into the house. "Does this one go into the bedroom?"

She glanced at it and nodded. "It sure does."

He followed her down the hall, happily watching her ass sway.

Entering the bedroom his heart leapt once again. He loved this room. The past week they'd stayed between his place on the beach and Grace's place. Bikers be damned. So far they hadn't resorted to the arson they threatened, but it didn't mean it wouldn't escalate. He hoped they didn't have any idea what tonight's party was all about or they may just get very aggressive.
