He disappears into the en suite. “Shut it, Teddy.”

I chuckle. “I’ll make you some breakfast.”

When Kipp comes into the kitchen, he’s wearing slacks and a button-down. He looks primped and proper, and it’d be impossible to know he’s wearing a butt plug under his workplace attire. Unless, perhaps, he bent over right in front of someone and his slacks pulled tight. But I assume that won’t be happening.

Kipp rounds the island gingerly, grabbing himself a glass of apple juice. I slide a plate with toast his way, unable to resist running my hand down his backside until I find the base of the plug. Kipp groans, dropping his head forward.

“You gotta stop, or I won’t be able to leave,” he says, not actually sounding all that put-out or making a single move to get away.

I rub over the plug lightly, and Kipp lets out a breath.

“I thought you’re mine to play with,” I say. “Am I wrong?”

He mutters a curse. “Only for…two more minutes. And then I have to go. Wait, no. Make that one minute. I need to eat that toast.”

I hum, spinning him until his back is pressed up against the counter. “One minute then.”

Kipp moans as my mouth meets his. He tastes sweet, like apples, and he’s warm and firm yet yielding as I slot against him, our bodies joining like puzzle pieces. I don’t think twice about kissing him. About what it means that I’m doing it when we’re not having sex. I don’t think about anything other than this man at my fingertips, who feels like all the things I’ve carefully avoided for so very long.

He feels like mine, and it takes every ounce of my willpower to pull back and remind myself that no—he’s not mine. Not for real.

And I best remember that.

“I’m gonna… have a hard-on… all freaking day,” Kipp huffs out, pressing his hand against my chest. I step back, and he turns toward his toast. “All day, Teddy. Do you realize I had to pick out my loosest pants to hide my perma-erection? Thought went into the decision. And here you are just poof. Decimating my brain cells. Like, who needs cognitive thought, right? I’ll just let my little brain lead the show today. Not like I even have a choice in the matter.”

Kipp bites into his toast, shaking his head as he chews.

“When I get home,” he says, not even looking at me, “you better fuck me so damn good I pass out. I’m not even kidding. Don’t get me wrong, this is hot as fuck. Like, I’m pretty sure it’s the hottest thing that’s ever happened to me, and I’ve done my fair share of hot shit. But you better make good on your promise, Teddy, and goddamn make me yours or… I don’t know. I’ll come up with some sort of threat that isn’t humping your leg, and I’ll threaten you with it.”

My pulse thrums heavily as Kipp finishes his breakfast.

“Now I really have to go,” he says, wiping the crumbs off his fingers. “And I’m not going to look at you or my erection will be back. So… See ya later.”

Kipp is nearly to the door when I notice his keys sitting on the counter. “Kipp?”

He stops, and I pick up the keys, jangling them. Hand over his eyes, he walks back my way, snagging them without meeting my gaze.

“Have a good day, honey,” I tease, my heart still pounding.

He groans, and then he’s out the door. In some ten hours, he’ll be walking right back through it.

His words cycle around my head like a hurricane.

“And goddamn make me yours.”

At noon, I can’t quite resist texting Kipp to see how he’s doing. I sit at my weight bench, muscles burning pleasantly after my workout, and type out a message.

Me: How’s it going?

Kipp’s answer comes swiftly.

Babydoll: Today is hard. HARD, Teddy. Everything is hard.

I snort a laugh.

Me: Mhm.

Babydoll: Don’t you mhm me. You’re the reason I’m in this mess.
