EPILOGUE

Kylie

Three Weeks Later…

“It’s much too early to be out of bed on a Sunday morning, sweetheart. What are you doing?” Dylan asked curiously.

I looked up to see my handsome fiancé wandering into the kitchen in nothing but a pair of black boxer briefs.

My heart skittered as his gorgeous green-eyed gaze caught mine.

Jesus! Would I ever get used to the way Dylan made my heart race every time he walked into a room?

“Making British pancakes,” I informed him. “I thought maybe we could start having a Pancake Sunday once in a while. Your mom taught me how to make them last week when I was visiting her in Surrey. I just asked for the recipe, but somehow, before I knew it, we were cooking a batch together. She was really enthusiastic about it.”

Dylan reached for a bottle of water in the fridge, took the cap off, and took a sip.

I added, “I think she’s hoping you’ll get me pregnant as soon as possible.”

I turned my head in surprise as Dylan coughed after nearly choking on his water.

“Christ! You can’t just do that to a man when he’s trying to drink,” he grumbled.

I snorted. “At least you’re hearing it secondhand. Bella isn’t really all that subtle.”

He took one more gulp before he set the bottle down and raised an eyebrow as he looked at me. “She never has been. And what exactly did you tell her?” he asked.

I smiled at him. “What could I say? I could hardly tell your mother that you’re practicing like a champion every single day, sometimes several times a day, for that future event.”

He moved up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist. “Will that event be in our future?” he asked hoarsely as he kissed the side of my neck.

Children were something Dylan and I hadn’t talked about…yet.

“You tell me,” I said as I stopped mixing the contents of the bowl in front of me and turned around to face him. “My vote would be yes, but I’d like to get married and be a couple for a while first. Right now, I just want to be with you.”

He grinned down at me. “I was hoping it wouldn’t be no. But if it was, I’d be okay with that, too. I have you, and that’s always going to be more than enough.”

I wrapped my arms around his neck with a sigh. “I think we can take a little while to figure out how that’s going to happen. I would have been okay if your answer had been no, too.”

“I’d be happy to teach you exactly how it happens,” he offered.

I shook my head. “I’m going to feed you first, and I told your mom we hadn’t talked about it yet.”

“She’ll be absolutely relentless,” he warned. “Damian said she hasn’t stopped hinting at grandchildren since the moment she realized that he was crazy about Nicole.”

I smiled. “I think I can handle the pressure. I’ll just keep reminding her that I’m not even married yet.”

“A problem I hope we can remedy pretty damn soon,” he rumbled. “Do we have a date yet?”

Dylan was definitely his mother’s child. He was just as relentless about setting a date for our wedding as she was about getting grandchildren. “Late spring?” I asked.

He shook his head. “I’d have to kidnap you and take you to Vegas if it’s going to take that long.”

I laughed. “Honestly, I don’t think I’d resist, but your family wouldn’t be happy. If we do it sooner, it won’t be outdoors. It would be way too cold.”

“We can have a very nice wedding indoors. There are an endless amount of places in England to choose from, Kylie. We don’t have to do it at Hollingsworth just because Damian and Nicole did. In fact, I wouldn’t mind doing something different, so our wedding is unique,” he said thoughtfully.

“I’d really like that, too,” I said. “Let me check out some venues online and see if I can go take a look.”
