“Nothing.”

He shot her a glare.

“But they’re looking through entry records to see if they can find anything suspicious there.”

“Could Tamara have gotten Ressler a pass?” Just as Andrea had gotten one for him.

Andrea shook her head. “We’ve checked. Nope. Anyway, everyone’s getting new passes. So unless he was hired by the bank—”

“Tamara could’ve gotten him a job.”

“The security team has Ressler’s photo. He’s not going to get a pass. Ken said his team would sweep the place again tonight, to make sure Ressler isn’t hiding somewhere in the building.” Andrea took a big bite of the muffin. “Will the bots remain?”

“They’ll be here as long as required.”

“Ooh, this is good.”

“Instagram famous, apparently. Oliver recommended it.” He strode toward Clary’s office.

“Still prefer chocolate.”

He was about to enter the passcode to the door when he noticed that the lock had been removed.

“That thing was so annoying. Since the boys’ club is gone, we didn’t think the lock was necessary.”

“What about the watches?”

Andrea grinned. “Packed up and sent to storage in the bank’s vault. Clary’s going to get them appraised and auction them off to fund the compensation and projects she has in mind. I love her guts.”

Seth drew a breath through his nose.

“Someone doesn’t like that idea.” Her eyes narrowed into suspicious slits. “Were you hoping she’d give them to you?”

“Hugh’s going to raise a stink.”

“Clary’s sure he won’t do anything drastic. She says she’s certain Hugh values the inheritance more than his watches.”

“I hope so. People can be incredibly shortsighted.” He opened the door and paused again. This time, he just stopped to watch Clary work.

Her back was straight as she stared at the laptop screen. Her brows were slightly furrowed, and her lips pursed.

This was the first time he’d seen her so seriously at work.

And gosh did he want to kiss her.

“Oh, just go on in already,” Andrea said from behind him.

Clary looked up from the laptop.

Seth shook his head. If Andrea weren’t a woman, he would have thought she was one of his brothers. “Hi.” He kicked the door closed as he strode over. “Red velvet muffin.” He put the bag down.

She checked the time. “I’m sorry, Seth. I’m not done with work.” She rubbed her fingertips against her temple. “Why don’t you head home first? I’ll come back on my own.”

He shook his head. “I don’t mind waiting.”

“Could you tell Andrea to go if she’s done with work? Don’t need to stay with me.”

Then all the more reason for him to stay, but he couldn’t help teasing her. “So now I’m your assistant?”
