Elton poked his tongue into his cheek. “Her camcorder.”

That stupid camcorder. Seth and his brothers had hated that thing, hated having to smile and pretend that all was well whenever that thing was out. Now, that camcorder might be the reason Holly would forever be able to control them.

“Two: Oliver. He’s racked with guilt. He’ll confess to the crime before we can do anything, and once a confession’s been made …”

Elton looked around then. “Where is Oliver?”

Zane jerked his thumb back toward the room. “I cuffed him to the bed.”

“And Aldric?”

“I told him to go to his room,” Zane said. “Where are you going?” he asked Seth.

“He thinks Clary’s going to check out the well.”

Zane arched a brow.

“Yes, I checked her pendant location.”

“Why is she going to check the well?” Zane asked. “Surely if there was a body there, someone would have found it by now.”

“But no one did.” Elton nodded. “So if there’s no body there …”

“Edward could’ve gotten people to get rid of it,” Zane said.

Seth shook his head. “Clary must’ve found out that didn’t happen. She wouldn’t take a pointless trip.”

Zane shrugged. “Edward could lie.”

“We keep going round and round, but there’s no solution.”

Andrea came down the stairs, and Seth almost cursed when he realized they’d completely forgotten about her. “Murphy just texted me,” she said. “Clary’s asking him for the names of the investigators in charge of a cold case.” She rolled her eyes when Seth shared a glance with his brothers. “I tried to keep out of it, but you guys are talking really loudly. Do you want the names?”

“Yes,” Seth, Elton, and Zane answered in unison.

Seth rubbed a hand over his mouth. “Clary’s at this address.” He typed and sent Andrea a text. “Stuff something in a bag and head to a hotel.” He took out a credit card from his wallet. “Get a room—wherever you want. Check in, then find a way to get out of there and go to her.”

“Another stalker?” Andrea asked as she took the credit card.

“Someone may be watching us.” A text message came in from Andrea.

“Those are the names,” Andrea said. “Is Clary in danger?”

“I don’t believe so.”

She glanced at the three of them. “Are you guys in danger?”

“From having our lives ruined by a psychotic adoptive mother?” Aldric opened the door and came out. “Yes. Besides that, we’re okay.”

Andrea nodded again.

“Stay in contact,” Zane said.

“Will do.” She went back to her room, then left the mansion in under five minutes.

“I’ll go—”

“You stay and keep an eye on Oliver,” Zane said and shoved Seth inside. “I’ll go speak with the officers.”
