“How else are we supposed to prove these are genuine Beta Kappa panties?” Ben points out.
“He’s right.” Connor huddles us together, his touch a sudden jolt on my shoulder. “Just take it.”
Ben holds up his phone in selfie mode, lining up the shot to include all four of our faces… and my panties.

“Smile, Dana,” Ben teases. “It’s family time.”
I throw one on. Might as well.
He takes the photo.
“Hey, Dana, where’d you… Ah.” Jacinda walks around the house with two red plastic cups in hand, her lips turning into a smile when she sees who I’m with. “What’s going on over here?” she asks as she climbs the porch stairs.
“Jacinda,” Alex says, smirking. “You look very nice tonight.”
“Thanks.” Her eyes flick between us. “So, what’s going on?”
“Nothing,” I say. “They were just?—”
“Borrowing our sister’s panties,” Alex says. I deflate. “But if we had known you were here, we would have asked you first.”
“Would we?” Ben asks, taking an elbow to the ribs for it.
Jacinda chuckles. “Well, if you had, you’d be too late.”
Connor straightens up. “What do you mean?”
She shrugs. “I gave mine to Emerson like ten minutes ago.”
Alex startles forward. “What?”
“Two hours, ten minutes,” Ben says, checking his phone.
“We gotta get moving,” Connor says.
“Go!” I urge. “Dear god, please leave.”
Alex stalls a moment, his petty eyes on Jacinda. “You know, on second thought, you don’t look very nice tonight after all,” he says.
Her smile remains. “Ouch.”
At that, Alex turns away. He passes my panties to Ben, who holds them for only a second before grimacing and tossing them at Connor.
Connor folds them into his jacket pocket as the twins race off the porch, barely hiding the awkward look on his face as he glances between us.
Me and… his ex.
“Ladies,” he says, bowing his head.
“Connor, move your ass!” one of my brothers shouts down the street.
“Bye.”
“Bye,” Jacinda and I say.
Connor hops off the porch and rushes to catch up.
