“We’re not.”

“Well, he...”

“He what?”

I flex my jaw. “He looks at you like you are.”

She scoffs. “I don’t care how he looks at me. He can look at me however he wants. It doesn’t change how I feel.”

“How do you feel?” I ask.

“I told you last night, Connor. Nothing is ever going to happen between me and Emerson Floyd.” She recoils, hurt. “I can’t believe you, of all people, would even think that.”

“What else am I supposed to think?” I say. “I show up at that party last night and guys are literally falling on their knees for you. I mean, Jesus, Dana, if we hadn’t had showed up, would you have woken up this morning in the Delta Xi house? In some random dude’s bed?”

I don’t move as she takes a slow step forward, closing the already small gap between us.

She looks me in the eye. “It was nice,” she says. “And, also…”

“What?” I ask, my voice a whisper.

Dana hesitates with a smile and… bites her lower lip. Her teeth glide along it, a sensual act I feel deep in my groin.

Holy...

I stand still, instantly hard. Hell, I stop breathing, the temptation of her sweet lips almost too much to bear.

“I really liked it,” she says, words a warm tickle down my spine. “And I thought that… you would teach me more.”

I bend toward her, unable to stop myself. Her eyes flutter closed, her chin tilted upward, lips parted and waiting for mine.

Don’t do it, Morgan.

This is Dana.

I stiffen for a moment, peeking at those plump, painted lips again, and my resolve crumbles.

Exactly.

I kiss her, giving her what she wants, taking what I’ve always...
