“I'm sorry about what happened with Natalie,” he begins, his voice low and earnest. “I never meant for you to get caught in the middle of all this.”

He takes my hands in his, his calloused fingers intertwining with mine. “I know my situation with Natalie is complicated, but I promise I'm not letting her come between us.”

“I want to believe you,” I murmur, my voice barely above a whisper. “But I've been hurt before, and I don't know if I can handle it again.”

Jake's hand slides down to cup my jaw, tilting my face to meet his gaze. “I'm not going to hurt you, Fin.”

I nod. “I want to stand by you and Amber, Jake. I care about you both so much.”

His gentle caress sends tingles through my skin as he interlaces our fingers. “Having your support and understanding is everything,” Jake says softly, his eyes filled with sincerity.

His thumb traces the curve of my cheek, and the calluses on his skin remind me of the hard work he puts into everything he does.

“This relationship, growing between us, is not something casual. We've only recently crossed the line from friends to more, but our connection has been building for months. I'm going to do whatever it takes to make this work. You, me, and Amber are a team now.”

I lean into his touch, my eyes briefly fluttering closed. The walls around my heart begin to crumble, brick by brick.

“I want to fight for us, too,” I admit, my voice trembling. “But I need to know that you're all in. I can only do this if you're fully committed.”

Jake's other hand finds mine, our fingers intertwining as he pulls me closer. “I'm all in. I promise.”

“I believe you,” I whisper, my lips brushing against his skin.

He envelops me in his arms, his chin resting on my head. The warmth of his body and the strength of his embrace are like coming home.

I bury my face in the crook of his neck, breathing in his scent, letting it wash over me. Being wrapped in Jake's arms brings a sense of peace and belonging that I've never experienced before.

It's as if all the pieces of my life have fallen into place, and I know with absolute certainty that this is where I'm meant to be.

I'm no longer afraid to give myself fully to love. Jake has shown me what it means to trust, to open my heart, and to let someone in completely.

I pull back slightly, cupping his face in my hands. His stubble scratches against my palms, sending delicious shivers down my spine.

Looking into his eyes, I see a reflection of my own emotions–love, devotion, and a deep sense of connection that goes beyond words.

“I'm so grateful to have you in my life,” Jake murmurs, his breath tickling my ear. “I don't deserve you, but I'll try my best to be worthy of your love every single day.”

“You already are, Jake. You're an incredible man, and I'm so lucky to have you in my life.”

“I love you,” he whispers between hot kisses along my jawline. “More than anything.”

His words, a low groan against my neck, send a surge of love and desire coursing through my veins.

“I love you too,” I whisper, my voice thick with emotion. “I never knew it was possible to feel this way about someone, but you've changed everything for me.”

I tilt my head back, giving him better access as he nips at the soft flesh below my ear.

As our lips meet again in a passionate kiss, I pour all of my love and longing into it, telling him how much he means to me without words.

Our tongues dance together, our hands roaming each other's bodies with a hunger that can never be fully satisfied.

My hands tangle in his hair, pulling him closer, needing to feel every inch of him pressed against me. We stay like that for a long moment, holding each other and basking in the warmth of our newfound love.

I never expected to find love, but now that I have, I'll never let it go.
