There was no way out.

A piercing scream came from the depth of her lungs. Her mouth hung open, and her eyes filled with confusion that morphed into disbelief. The knife was inside of her stomach, and blood gushed out as soon as I pulled it out.

Stumbling backward, she grabbed the sink in an attempt to hold herself up. I didn’t let her. Instead, I stabbed the palm that was on the sink. Her yelling filled my ears. It was way better than the loud music that played on the other side of the door.

The more I stabbed her, the less balance she had until she eventually dropped to the tiled floor, hitting her head harshly.

Blood was all over my hands, face, and clothes.

In an instant, I was on top of her, strangling her with the most sinister look on my face. I was feeding on the fear she radiated, and it smelled like death. My two favorite things.

“Please,” she croaked out. “Let me go.”

Even if I let her go, she would be dead before she made it out of the bathroom. I didn’t count, but, given how many holes her clothes had, I’d stabbed her over six times. She was going to bleed out before she got up.

“Nope.” I grinned. “Seeing you so pathetic and hearing you begging when you were so confident not too long ago is really amazing.”

“You’re sick,” she croaked out. Blood spilled from the corners of her mouth, and she gagged. “You’ll rot in hell.”

“I never said I wouldn’t.”

With another stab, she was dead. The knife pierced through her heart. I couldn’t describe the contentment and happiness I felt when I saw the life draining from her eyes until she stopped breathing and lay unmoving beneath me.

I stood up and looked at myself in the mirror.

Blood was all over me, even in my hair. My chest moved up and down at a high speed, adrenaline pumping in my veins. Truly, I was the prettiest soaked in blood. It was a sight to be remembered, and the feeling of satisfaction would linger for a while longer.

The door swung open, and Davina came inside.

“Oh my god.” Her hands covered her mouth, mortification written on her face. Even a tear slipped. I wasn’t surprised she was able to walk past the guard, though it was definitely a surprise for her to see.

Quickly, she regained her composure, clearing her throat.

Glancing around, a sigh of relief echoed when she was certain that the restroom had no cameras.

She bit on her nail, the other hand in her hair, pulling on it. Her brows knitted together as she tried to get me out of this situation. It was funny seeing her squirm and trying to think of a solution. I was aware that Aleksei would give me shit for this, but I didn’t really care about that.

“Okay, this is what we will do,” she announced, and I raised a curious eyebrow.

Hesitantly, she walked over to the dead body, scrunched her nose, and grabbed the sink. Her eyes were filled with determination and then she smacked her head against the mirror.

Glass shattered and some pieces fell out. Then, she did it again, this time making a bigger dent in the mirror.

My mouth dropped open as she turned around, revealing blood that dripped from her forehead.

“What the actual fuck is wrong with you?” I asked, filled with disbelief.

“With me?” she retorted and then pointed to the dead girl. “What’s wrong with you?”

Davina quickly realized that she was talking to a wall. With a sigh, she shook her head and grabbed my bloodied hands. “The story is, she attacked me and smacked my head against the mirror, and you defended me.”

I folded my arms in front of my chest, amused. I hated physical touch more than anything. “It’s more believable that Satan crawled up from hell, held me at gunpoint, and forced me to kill her than that. Aleksei won’t buy that story. He’s not a total moron.”

If that were the situation, I wouldn’t have meddled until it got to the point of Davina almost dying. Aleksei would throw a fit, and I would end up with a bullet in my skull for not helping his fiancé. But otherwise, her problems were hers only.

She threw me a glare. “I’ll handle your brother.”

“Fine,” I mumbled. ‘‘“Why are you here, though?”
