“Needed to be done,” Bez says as he twirls something in his hand.

“Yes, well. We will have a new crew of Demons tomorrow morning,” Lucifer states, but my attention is torn away, back to Bez’s hand.

Focusing on it once again, I find it’s a weapon of some sort. He catches me taking an interest and holds it up so I can get a better look. Then it melts into his hand and he reforms it into a different design. “Plastic works just as well as metal,” he says with a cruel smile.

Okay then. Leave the scary gentle killer alone.

He’s a gentle killer, Rez. He gently ripped off the guy’s dick and painted the walls red. I forcefully swallow and everyone turns toward me.

“Oh, you heard that?” I ask and immediately look down at my lap. Someone say something, I scream in my head.

“So, did our test come back?” JP asks, and I mentally thank him for taking the bullet.

Lucifer's gaze swings to JP and then Moni. “Yes, but we can talk later if you prefer. I have not told anyone about that,” he admits, and judging by the confused glances of the rest of L.A.M.B. and Lilith, he’s telling the truth.

JP turns his attention to Moni, no doubt hearing what she’s saying. She nods and Zeke squeezes his hand as JP considers L.A.M.B. “I don’t know about them,” he starts and surveys our group. “But they are my family, and what you tell me and Moni can be said in front of them.”

“Very well. The same can be said about L.A.M.B. We were considered a family even before we fell and followed Lilith to a less restricted life.” He smiles at us before addressing everyone.

“In the throne room, it had come to my attention that JP and Moni knew Elayna. And yes, gentlemen,” he says, addressing Murmur, Bez and Astaroth. “The same Elayna. JP is her biological son, and Moni is Marjoriekine’s daughter, whom she disowned.”

Peeking at Moni, I see her bark start fading to blue, and if I had a harder shoe than a ballet slipper, I would throw it at Lucifer for upsetting my PIMP.

“Why would she disown you?” Bez speaks up. “You are quite a powerful lil' one. Does she not know how wonderful you are? You knocked me—The first Vengeance Demon—on his ass.” He points his makeshift weapon in her direction. “That is not an easy feat.”

A smile slowly grows on her face as she cycles from her glitter bomb, shock color, to her pastel yellow bark, expressing her happiness.

“Really?” she asks.

“Yes,” he replies.

Murmur gives a long whistle. “Damn, birdie; Bez never gives compliments.”

“That is true,” Lucifer agrees. “The point is, knowing that information and my history, I ran a blood test. Moni and JP, I am your father, and I’m sorry that I didn’t know.”

The room goes silent as everyone takes in the information that was just dropped. Wow. JP and Moni are the next rulers of Hell? Is that how this works?

I hear a snicker and look around, but I can’t see where it’s coming from. It gets louder and turns into a chuckle, and that’s when I see Moni’s shoulders bouncing. She throws her head back and lets out an obnoxious laugh, falling off of the chair. She continues to laugh as she picks herself up, floating in the air, and slaps her knee.

“Did you break my Moni?” I ask Lucifer as I glance back at Moni.

“I—I—What’s going on?” Lucifer asks, as completely lost as we are.

“She’s gonna kick her own ass, treating me like shit! Call me Karma, Queen of the Damned!” Moni shouts at the top of her lungs. She laughs and falls from the air, trusting Chester to catch her, which he does, barely.

“Who—”

“Miss Teal,” I giggle as it dawns on me. She was treated like shit all of these years, and she’s a princess—for lack of words or official titles—of Hell.

Feeling overjoyed, I get up and rush over to Moni to hug her. Wrapping my arms around her, I squeeze tight. “Congratulations, badass.”

“As interesting as this is—and congratulations—I have a matter to bring up,” Lilith interrupts, grabbing her pearls. She quickly drops them and brings her hands to her lap. “You guys will need time to bond and talk about your responsibilities now and such… but,” she shifts in her seat, and I give Moni a worried glance before going back to my seat in Knots lap. “We have more pressing matters to discuss.” Lilith lets out a visibly shaky breath as she straightens out her skirt.

“Like what?” I ask hesitantly.

“LIKE YOU DRAGGING MY BOYS TO THEIR DEATH!” she screams, and jumps for me.
